Texture Mapping

In this screenshot we are in the immersive world of Kastelli School in Meshmoon and we are taking a screenshot of what looks like bleachers but it is a 3D image with color filled into it.
In this screenshot we are looking at the grey door in front of my avatar that is just a rectangle filled in with color.
In this screenshot my avatar is looking at the green door that is just a image filled in with color an no texture.
In this screenshot we are looking at the octagon that is 3D and is filled in with texture that make sit look unique and detailed.
In this screenshot we are looking at the information board that is a rectangle in 3D and it is filled in with texture which makes it more vivid and real.
This last screenshot we took was of the floor that we are standing on because it is filled in with a texture to make it look like wood and it looks so realistic.

Image of the tank

Tank # 2 is much more in detail and it really stands out with the graphics aspect of it. Tank #1 looks like a tank but it is just not as vivid as Tank #2. It is not as graphic and detailed as the textured mapped photo Tank #2.

Class 4, Assignment 8

In this screenshot I visited the German Firefighters Museum World. My avatar the robot is standing in front of 2 antique fire trucks.
In this screenshot I visited the High School Learning Environment World. In this world they had text file up 3D and as you walked around there were different files. I stood near one of the text files that looks like MS Word and took the screenshot.
This is a screenshot of me visiting the Kastelli School World. In this world it seems to look like a gymnasium with seats at the top and then on the wall was information about how to move your avatar in Meshmoon. That is my avatar the robot looking at the seats.

Class 4, Assignment 5

This is my infographic where I include everything that I enjoy and some information about myself.  I changed the background to a wooden texture trying to make it look like a parquet floor . Had fun experimenting with piktochart.

Class 4, Assignment 4

Here is one screenshot of following Immersive Education on my twitter account and then the other screenshot is of me subscribing to the Immersive Education youtube page.

Class 4, Assignment 3

These were the 3 videos from immersive education on youtube that I found the most interesting.

Midterm 6

Midterm 6 Part 1: Understanding and Using Layers

This screenshot shows me creating a new image with transparency
This screenshot shows me making a text box inside the transparency and writing in it.
This screenshot shows me making a new layer and making it white and then adjust the opacity and make the letter show through it.
This screenshot shows me uploading the penguin picture from my desktop onto GIMP.
This screenshot shows the layers outline on the right and I created a new one called "Tux" and I anchored the penguin picture to that layer. I then moved the order of the layers and put text first then "Tux and finally the background.
This is the final outcome of the picture. Now I understand and am comfortable using Layers on GIMP.

Midterm 6 Part B: Creating an Animated GIF

In this screenshot I made the text circle and put my name as the text.
In this screenshot I opened the layers tool box so that I can see the different layers in the image.
In this screenshot I made a new layer called New Layer 1.
In this screenshot I had to copy my text which was my name and paste it onto the "New Layer 1."
In this screenshot I used the rotate tool and clicked on my text and selected to rotate it 45 degrees.
Here I am making a new layer called "New layer 2."
I repeated the steps above on "new layer 2" and rotated it 90 degrees.
I made a new layer called "New Layer 3"
Then I repeated the copying and pasting of my name onto "New Layer 3" and rotated it 135 degrees.
I finally made my last layer called "New Layer 4"
I copied and pasted my name onto "New Layer 4" and rotated it 180 degrees.

Then the final image with all of the layers was saved as a GIF file but "as animation".

Here is the final animated GIF image a text circle rotating.

This is screenshots of me understanding and using layers on GIMPShop and creating an animated GIF image on GIMPShop. It is a midterm exercise from the Immersive Education course that I am taking at Boston College. The course is called Discovering Computer Graphics .
