I start making my coin on GIMP by using the circle tool and then filling it in gray and adding the date as a text in the circle.
With the paint tool I made the face and I added in "LIBERTY" at the top and I entered another text in the circle with "In God We Trust"
At the end when I was finished I cropped out the coin and put my name on it and saved it as a JPEG file.
